True Ambition
Amanda Marie Green
Ambition the fiery flame that grasps the light you hold inside.
Ambition the potential you hold that judges how far in life you are to go.
Ambition the light that you hold inside that helps you see you can turn the tide.
Ambition the mindset that you can make a positive change in your life.
Ambition the voice inside that helps you battle strife empowers you to win all of life’s fights.
Ambition the power to do anything you set your mind to and seeing your dreams are possible.
Ambition is setting your goals on the prize in life knowing you are going to win the fight.
Ambition is believing in yourself and not comparing yourself to anyone else.
“Your disability can’t limit who you are, only you can do that”
When the Moon is High
Meghan Gil
When the moon is high,
She wanders the silent streets.
Looking and wondering,
Who will cross her path next.
Casting spells on those who walk by, not
Knowing who or what she is.
Changing their lives with one glance of her eyes…….
Eyes as dark as midnight.
The lonely find friendship,
The sad….happinesss.
As she walks,
She hopes to find one like her.
One that can change her,
No longer walking the silent streets.
Alone,
When the moon is high.
Ryan Stewart
Two mirrors stand
Adjacent, opposed
Staring into the infinity
They strive to approach
Becoming but never being
Between them all:
Grapes of wrath
The Wine of convalescence
Which calls to my reproach
“This shall be the last supper.”
Breaking away the rip chords
Venusian angel falls and hopes
For release on Earth:
He speaks,
“Blessed are those who are called to this feast
And bid adieu so very early
Who excuse themselves for but a moment
To then leave and never dine again…”
The grating teeth
At the heartstrings
The left-hand pane
Sees into me
She speaks,
“I must be frank now
I’ve tried to stray
To skirt the tender fruits
And stuff
But a curious thing
How I always seem
To find the table without enough!”
